Carolina Thomas LLC was formed in October of 2004 by Bob Price and Henry Watson. On October 19, 2004 Carolina Thomas acquired the assets of Triad Transportation Sales thus becoming the Thomas Built Bus dealer for North Carolina and the Eldorado National dealer for North and South Carolina.
The companies’ primary business is the sale and support of school and commercial buses in North and South Carolina.

Carolina Thomas LLC is located at 6327 Burnt Poplar Road in Greensboro, North Carolina. This location is right off of Interstate 40 on the western side of Greensboro and is conveniently accessible from I-40. The company operates out of a state of the art 22,000 square foot facility located on 5 acres of land. The facility has 12 service bays which can accommodate 12 full sized 40’ transit coaches or school buses.
Carolina Thomas maintains a very large inventory of bus replacement parts so most parts are in stock when needed. If a part is needed and it is not a stock item, the part can usually be received in one or two business days.
In addition to the Greensboro location, Carolina Thomas has satellite service locations in Charlotte, Ashville, Wilmington, Greenville, Hickory, and Wilson, North Carolina. These satellite locations are authorized to perform warranty and service work on the products sold by Carolina Thomas. In addition to the satellite locations, Carolina Thomas also operates three mobile service vehicles which travel to customer locations throughout our area of responsibility.
Carolina Thomas has 38 full time employees. Sixteen of these employees are service technicians, seven are parts department staff and management, and the other twelve employees are split between bus sales, accounting, administration, supervision and management. Carolina Thomas was presented with the 2007, 2006, and 2005 Thomas Built Buses Gold Award for outstanding dealership performance. The Gold Award is the highest award presented by Thomas to a dealer and recognizes outstanding performance in service, parts support and bus sales.
